Our data sources
We believe in showing real prices from real sources, not made-up ranges:
- Electricity & Gas: Live data from the AER Consumer Data Right API (the Australian Energy Regulator's official registry of all market tariffs)
- Mobile & NBN: Daily automated scrape of each provider's own official website — no third-party aggregators
- Insurance: Indicative market ranges (actual premiums are personal; we link you to insurer sites for quotes)
Independence
SaveBill is not owned by any energy retailer, telco, or insurer. Plans are ranked purely by objective criteria — price, value-for-money score, speed, or features — regardless of whether we earn an affiliate commission if you switch. If we ever hide or demote a plan, it's because it genuinely isn't competitive, not because of paid placement.
How we're funded
SaveBill is free for consumers. We earn referral commissions from providers when users switch through our links. This keeps the service free without selling your data.
Your data, your control
Your bills are stored privately in your account. We collect anonymized aggregate data (no personal identifiers) to improve market comparisons — no names, no addresses, no bank details. You can delete everything at any time. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
